Byrd was a member of the Ku Klux Klan in the 1940s and a participant in an epic but ultimately unsuccessful filibuster against landmark civil rights legislation in 1964. His ambition to rise in the world led him to seek membership in an organization that, according to Byrd's 2005 memoir, Robert C. Byrd: Child of the Appalachian Coalfields, included many of the "best" people in his community: the Ku Klux Klan. It was Klan leaders who first inspired him to enter politics, Byrd wrote. He was elected to the post of "Exalted Cyclops" in the KKK. in 1946 or 1947 he wrote a letter to a Grand Wizard stating, "The Klan is needed today as never before and I am anxious to see its rebirth here in West Virginia and in every state in the nation."

But, during the West Virginia primary in 2008, he endorsed Barack Obama to become the nation's first African-American (Mulatto) president. The following year, the ailing lawmaker made a dramatic return to the Senate in a wheelchair to vote for Sonia Sotomayor, Obama's first Supreme Court nominee and the nation's first Mexican justice, who incidentaly, is anti-White.

In a January speech marking 50 years in the Senate, Byrd actually hailed the growing numbers of women and minorities in the chamber as one of the most positive changes he had witnessed. "We have come a very, very, very long way," he said.

Senator Byrd ultimately turned his back on his own people. He grew up in a time when America was majority White, peaceful and safe, without wanton Black and Hispanic crime. The borders were not wide open for every troglodyte in the southern hemisphere to slither across. Appearing on Fox News Sunday in 2004, he said that: "There are white niggers. I’ve seen a lot of white niggers in my time". After a backlash, he offered an apology.

He's dead now. I wonder if he knew the statistics about the White race, and how we are going to fade into extinction? Would he have cared? Probably not.

The US Supreme Court has restricted the rights of state and city governments to enforce controls on gun ownership.

The US's highest court ruled by 5-4 that a ban on handgun ownership in Chicago was unconstitutional.

The ruling could potentially change laws on gun ownership in many of the US states.

The case was brought by four Chicago residents as well as local firearms rights activists and the National Rifle Association.

The latest Supreme Court decision does not explicitly strike down the Chicago area laws, but it orders a federal appeals court to reconsider its ruling - leaving little doubt that the laws will eventually be overturned.

Thousands of women are being smuggled into Israel, creating a booming sex trade industry that rakes more than USD one billion a year, a parliamentary committee said on Wednesday.

Findings showed that some 3,000 and 5,000 women are smuggled to Israel annually and sold into the prostitution industry, where they are constantly subjected to violence and abuse.

The report, issued annually, said some 10,000 such women currently reside in about 300 to 400 brothels throughout the country. They are traded for about USD 8,000 – USD 10,000, the committee said.
